Who agress animal mutilation need to stop?

I think animal mutilation is disgusting. Granted, I have pets like many families in the US do, but most people treat them like naughty infants, instead of the wonderful creatures they should be respected as, in all their wild behavior. Believe me, if any animal needed "improving," nature and evolution itself would do it to them, WITHOUT the help of our vanity-charged human interventions. Declawing is seriously physical abuse, and has been outlawed in many countries, rightfully so. It sickens me how often people expect their pets to act like people, and so "correct" them accordingly.
