My dad keeps on eating and putting on weight?!?

My dad does not care about his health and if he carries on eating like a pig then he will either die early or get ill :\ Me and my family has been telling him to not eat soo much but he does not listen! Seriously he is eating an ice-cream right now. Should I just give up? If something does happen its his own fault not mine? I did warn him.
