Can you help with ideas for a 70th birthday party?

I need some party ideas for my mother's birthday party. She's turning 70 (Dad's deceased 8 years) and we're planning a BBQ with family and friends. I thought of a "through the years" memory book/skit (funny or not) that could be read/performed to the guests. Unfortunately, I'm hitting a wall on how to proceed. We're a corny, laugh-out-loud group and I have tons of photos that could be used. Just needing a little creative direction please. Thanks in advance to anyone able to assist. :)
