I can't edit an answer on a question...?

Ok, so I've seen someone else ask this but they didn't get an answer. Anyway, I tried to edit the answer I put on someone's question but whenever I did I'd get the "Yahoo Answers is currently unavailable..." warning. I then deleted my answer so I could redo it, but then I could no longer answer the question (sorry if this sounds confusing). Does anyone know why this is happening and please don't say "I've never seen this happen before," or something along those lines.
