Don't you agree that if a man saves a woman's life she owes him a kiss?

I was watching a Mario skit. And Mario went through hell, to save Princess Peach, from Bowser. And all he asked her for in return was a kiss, and she turned him down! Needless to say Mario was shocked, as was I. He risked his life for her, and she can't even give the guy a kiss? I know if I saved a woman's life, I would expect a kiss, as a show of her gratitude! Is that really asking too much?
