Self Mutilation For Attention?

I have not, nor will I ever cut myself for depression or just for attention. I want to know what you think about people who cut themselves just to get attention. Do you think that they are stupid or that they just have a boring life and want people to notice them. If you're someone who has self injured for attention tell us why you did it.
